CARE AND USE OF YOUR GUARDIAN REMOVABLE POOL FENCE
- After your fence has been installed, introduce your child to the fence by taking them to it. We suggest that when they touch the fence, you place it "OFF LIMITS". If the child realizes he/she is not to touch the fence, he/she will begin to respect it as being for his protection and will stay away from it. Please remember that this fence or any other fence is not a
guarantee against pool drownings. A child can still pull up a chair to the fence and climb over it. GUARDIAN POOL FENCE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ADULT SUPERVISION.
- Occasional rinsing of the fence with cold water from your hose will help keep your fence clean and free from deteriorating pool chemicals. A mild liquid detergent may be used to help clean top and bottom seams of the fence. Establish a cleaning and maintenance schedule (every few months).
- When cleaning your patios with any caustic cleaners such as acid, chlorine, etc. it is recommended that you take down the fence. Also, silicone spray the hook and eye assembly. This keeps the spring lubricated and makes the use of your pool fence more enjoyable. The polypropylene sleeves in the deck are resistant to corrosion from pool chemicals. If chemicals or dirt get in the sleeve, flush out the debris with a garden hose. All poles should go into the sleeve deep enough so that the mesh TOUCHES the deck. If a pole seems "stuck", shake the pole front to back while putting downward pressure on the pole at the same time.
- If you wish to take down the fence for an adult party, please note that all sections have a specific amount of poles corresponding to the holes in the pool deck. Release all safety hooks. This action takes the tension off the sections. Pull up each pole in the section, one at a time. Once the section is out of the sleeves, it can be rolled up into a compact easy to handle section for storage.
- Please do not use your fence as a "Clothes Line". The hanging of towels, bathing suits, etc… will cause the top fabric rail to sag and become unsightly. This is not covered by warranty.
- The order which was signed when you requested installation of your Guardian Fence, clearly states that there are no guarantees expressed or implied as to the impregnability of the Guardian Pool Fence System. The installer also accepts no liability with respect to the impregnability of the fence. Guardian Pool fence was designed to HELP prevent pool drownings, but it is not offered to anyone as a complete assurance against pool drownings. We stress this strongly and suggest that no small child be left to himself or herself in the pool/patio area, without adult supervision. We also suggest that sharp objects, rolling toys, bikes, etc… be used only when an adult is there to supervise and watch the child.
